Back By Popular Demand...Central Park Picnic!

Do you enjoy lunch al fresco? Feeling guilty about leaving the kids on Saturday night? Have nothing better to do midday?
Then plan on coming to a family-friendly picnic in the early afternoon before the Reunion at Roseville's own Central Park!

Come solo or bring along the family for some frolicking in the park. We'll be meeting at the Foundation Shelter at "Central Park - Victoria West" (2495 Victoria Ave. 55113) RAIN OR SHINE. We're working on exact times, but it will likely be in the hours surrounding noon, on Saturday August 27th. This is a 'bring your own lunch' event, so pack up a cooler with some food and bev and come on down.

The shelter has two large charcoal grills if you feel like grilling out. It also has a huge play structure directly next to it, as well as two tennis courts, a hard surface volleyball court, and plenty of parking very nearby.

Article 701.03-G of the City Code states in regard to city parks:  'No person shall possess, display, consume or use intoxicating liquors as defined in Minnesota Statutes section 340A.101, subdivision 14.'
Do with that what you will.

The location and shelter are a lot more obvious than the adjacent spot we used last time, making it very easy to find. We'll have some sort of signage to lead you in the right direction. Roseville Park and Rec website also has a bunch of park maps available online.

We'll finalize the time of the event in the next couple weeks and update this page accordingly. Everyone start crossing fingers for a bit of sunshine and a beautiful day (though we'll be there even if it rains). See you there!

You Know You Wanna Come!

Hey there 96ers,

This is one very laid-back reunion. There are no assigned seats or tables, just buffet appetizers, a cash bar, and some reminiscent conversation.

Nervous about making conversation? Here are some topic suggestions:

1. Remember that time we...drank Pigs Eye in Como Park, totally screwed up that scene in Dracula, won a football game, went to Sadies, crashed the car, won State, did Night of the Notables.



2. (If you're a "live in the now" type of person) Your kids, how much money you make, how much money you used to make before you got laid-off, your spouse, your divorce, your gender reassignment surgery, the day's weather, how much fun you're having.



3. (Feeling sardonic?) How much you totally hated high school and how lame this party, and everyone at it, is.



4. How hot someone's mom, dad, sister, or brother was. (Use that one at your own risk.)



5. Mrs. Schneider and Mr. Rosvold.
   


6. (After enough cocktails.) What a huge crush you had on him/her in High School.
